Working for IHeart Media Chicago
I have begun my next chapter following my graduation from Illinois State University back on December 15th, 2018 at my first official job in the mass media industry. It was a chance meeting at a sales panel at the IBA Convention at DePaul University in my final college semester where I met an Account Executive Joe Schumacher. I did not know at first that this kind man would help me gain a connection to my current place of employment.
I went into the interview well prepared and confident and IHeart Media Chicago’s Promotions Director Jason Brown gave me a great opportunity to try and join a highly respected company. I received an important phone call on January 10th from Promotions Director Jason Brown that I was being offered the job of promotions technician to join IHeart Media Chicago. I remember that day as one of most memorable experiences of my life and a step toward my long-term future goals in my career. I began work on February 11th, 2019 as a Promotions Technician for IHeart Media Chicago in a part time role.
I have always felt an interest in how promotions are done in our mass media industry and working at this well known and respected company gives me the opportunity to grow this interest while I work toward my long term and future career aspirations and goals in sports broadcasting. I have worked on great events to this point at IHeart Media and feel very comfortable with the work environment among my superiors and fellow promotions technicians. This page follows and captures my work from my first day at Iheart Media up to my finish at the company in October 2020.
